‘Vindemiate was born from a desire to make good – to make good for the environment and our customers and to make good wine. Good wine isn’t just what you find in the bottle, it’s every part of the journey from grape to glass. That’s why we have partnered with social enterprises and small scale ‘garden’ growers, people who understand that working in true harmony with nature is often at odds with conventional, large-scale agriculture.’ www.vindemiate.com
For the last two years I’ve worked with Vindemiate to develop branding and label designs that embody their unique approach and stand out in a market that can too easily be seen as inaccessible. The goal was to create a style that avoided pretentious, ‘flouncy’ styles, and instead embodied an abstract, modern, and experimental aura. The shapes and textures in the labels and cork designs reflect elements of the winemaking processes such as the curves of the press, and the topological contours of the winery location.
The cats featured belong to the company staff and owners, and a competition was held for followers to submit their own pet to be featured on the ‘All Second Chances’ 2022 vintage label.
